The objective for policies in this section is to protect the standard of living for Thanington residents, Support and protect our existing community spaces, to maintain a low crime rate, protect and to preserve green spaces in order to maintain the rural features of the area.

Issues identified in the pre-plan consultation include concerns for the increase in light and air pollution; provision for public transport; loss of green spaces for recreational activites; lack of primary Healthcare facilities and the lack of local educational facilities.

Our plan consultation response showed a 92% positive response to the inclusion of the above issues.
